The Bengaluru traffic police has issued an advisory to the public asking them to avoid roads on which the mortal remains of actor-politician Ambareesh will be taken in a procession from Kanteerava Stadium to Kanteerava Studio on Monday.

The traffic police has charted out alternative routes during the time of procession, set to start at 10 am from the Kanteerava Stadium.

As per the traffic police, the procession route is, Hudson Circle-Ulsoor Gate Police Station- KG Road – Mysore Bank Circle – Palace Road – CID Junction – Basaweshwara Circle – Old High Grounds Police Station junction – Windsor Manor Junction – Cauvery Theatre Junction – Bhashyam Circle – Sankey Road – Maramma Circle – BHEL – Yeshwanthpur Flyover – Metro right turn – RMC Yard Police Station – Goreguntepalya Junction – CMTI – FTI – Kanteerava Studio.

Police have  said that heavy motor vehicles coming from Sumanahalli junction towards  Goreguntepalya should use Magadi Road near Kamakshipalya-Housing Road-Magadi Toll Gate toward West of Chord Road,  Times of India reported.

Vehicles moving from Goreguntepalya junction towards Sumanahalli should use the route via MEI Junction – Sandal Soap Factory Circle towards West of Chord Road.

Vehicles going from Sankey Road to Tumakuru road should take the route via Mekhri Circle, CV Raman Road – Sadashivanagar police station junction – BEL Road – Kuvempu Circle – Gangamma circle- towards Tumakuru.

Ambareesh’s body which was kept for public viewing at Mandya’s Vishweshwaraiah stadium on Sunday will be brought back to Kanteerava stadium early on Monday morning.

The body will then be taken to the Dr. Rajkumar Smaraka at Kanteerava Studio for the last rites ceremony.

The demise of the popular actor-turned-politician has elicited a response from hundreds of well-wishers across film and political circles. Film stars including Rajnikanth, Sarath Kumar and Prakash Raj attended the ceremony at the Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday while politicians cutting across political parties also visited to pay their last respects to the actor.
