Letter after letter creates trouble for KM Mani

The News Minute| April 8, 2015| 7.00 pm IST Hours after he was ousted from the position of Government Chief Whip, PC George is aiming arrow after arrow on his party chief and Kerala's finance minister KM Mani. PC George, in a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has made serious allegations against KM Mani and his son Jose K Mani. In the 10 page letter, PC George questions KM Maniā€™s decision to turn down three ministerial seats offered by UDF after 2011 assembly elections, and retaining just two ministerial seats and insisting on deputy speakerā€™s position.PC George alleges that it was KM Maniā€™s vested interest to ask for the deputy speaker post so that information about Poovar resort case, his personal investments in MediCity abroad, and other financial misappropriations remain guarded. He says that KM Mani was forced to accept him as the Chief Whip, after failed attempts to resist it. PC George also questions the undemocratic move of conducting Kerala Congress (M) parliamentary meeting without his knowledge with an agenda to remove him from the post. He calls it ā€œan overnight decisionā€, saying that KM Mani cannot tolerate any voices against him the party. PC George goes on to accuse KM Mani of being blinded by the love for his son, by making attempts to bring him to power. PC George claims that he is of the opinion that Jose K Maniā€™s questionable behaviors would ultimately pose a threat to the very existence of Congress party. Questionable behaviors being his involvement in Solar scam, bar bribe scam and other financial misappropriations. He further promises to soon reveal to the public, detailed information about corruption and financial misappropriations committed by ā€˜certain peopleā€™. "Everything will be revealed at the public meeting organised by Vaikunta Swamy Dharma Pracharana Sabha (VSDP). The Kerala Congress (M) state committee will be called at Thirunakkara ground and a resolution will be passed against K.M. Mani,ā€ George said in an interview with Malayala Manorama channel. Ā  Ā
