One of the most-awaited films, Baahubali 2, will release in theaters on April 14, 2017.

On Tuesday, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli, was honoured with the fourth highest civilian award 'Padma Shri' by the President Pranab Mukherjee.

The final installment of Baahubali 2 is currently on the floors and 60 percent of the shoot has been completed.

Recent schedules at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and in Kannur forests of Kerala were wrapped up after featuring some important scenes between Prabhas and Anushka. After a short break, the team will start the next schedule in May which will involve some high octane war sequences with Prabhas and Rana.

The film will have a simultaneous release in Hindi with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions backing the Hindi version.

According to the crew, the shooting schedule of the film will be wrapped up by October this year and the post production and VFX work will begin. The VFX Supervisor V Srinivas Mohan who also won a National Award for Baabubali part 1 this year, has exited from the second installment citing lack of time time.

In an interview, the VFX supervisor said, “I am happy that I got a National Award for Baahubali and its my 4th National award. I thank the whole crew and my team for the same. I have exited Baahubali 2 due to non-availability of time since I had to take up Endhiran 2 aka 2.0, and cannot work simultaneously in both. But I have completed major portions in Baahubali 2."

The makers have roped in RC Kamalakannan, as VFX Supervisor for Baahubali: The Conclusion. He is well known for his work in Magadheera and Eega (Makkhi) and has won two National Film Awards for Best Visual Effects.

The film was scheduled to release in 2016 but due to delay in pre-production work, it has been pushed to 2017.
