The teaser for Mahesh Babu's highly anticipated film Bharat Ane Nenu, in which the actor plays the Chief Minister, is out.

Titled 'The Vision of Bharat', the teaser, which is just over a minute long, shows the swashbuckling Mahesh Babu take on the mantle of the state. The teaser begins with Bharat, the character he plays in the film, saying that as a child, his mother had told him that breaking one's promise wasn't worthy of a man. Bharat then goes on to say that he'd keep his word since he was indeed a man. "I've never gone wrong with this, nor have I ever forgotten it," he says.

The "being a man" theme is not new to Telugu cinema which has unabashedly celebrated masculinity on screen. However, Mahesh Babu is not the kind of CM we're used to seeing in real life politics, adding to the novelty in the film.

The visuals show Mahesh Babu interacting with ordinary people and also his team. Interestingly, he does not change his garb even when taking oath as the CM.

Touted to be a political thriller, the film also stars Kiara Advani in a lead role. Directed by Koratala Siva who had worked with Mahesh Babu earlier in Srimanthudu, the film marks their second association after the mega-hit. Others in the star cast include Rama Prabha, R Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Devaraj and Sithara. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this venture with Ravi K Chandran and Tirru working the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing it.

Bharat Ane Nenu is bankrolled by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments. There are huge expectations on the film as it has Mahesh Babu playing a politician for the first time in his career. The star will be appearing as the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra.
