A couple who were on their way back from Ulsoor to KR Puram in Bengaluru, were attacked by two unidentified men at night last week.
Bangalore Mirror reports that Babu Kumar and his wife Shalini were returning from Ulsoor at 11.30pm on Friday night, when two young men on a bike hit their two-wheeler. Shalini, who was the pillion rider, fell off the bike. After helping his wife get back on her feet, Babu Kumar asked the men to ride carefully.
Enraged by this, the men attacked the couple at P&T layout.
“There was no time to react and everything happened within a span of 15 minutes. Without a word, the accused came up to us, attacked us and escaped," Shalini told Mirror.
The men fled from the scene after attacking the couple. A friend who happened to pass by took the injured couple to a private hospital, where Babu underwent a surgery.
Kumar also told BM that the men splashed some kind of chemical into his eyes and so he was unable to take down the bike’s registration number.
The unidentified men have been charged with attempt to murder under section 307 and voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means under section 324 of the IPC.
