She had gone to collect the money that she had lent the victim.

A 22-year-old BPO employee in Bengaluru was allegedly raped by two men on Monday near Hosur road. She had known one of the accused as she had helped him financially.

Bangalore Mirror reported that the victim, who hailed from Maharashtra and worked in a private firm in Bommanahalli, had asked one of the accused, identified as Deepak, for the money she had lent him.

Deepak reported told her that he would give her the money if she went along with him to his friend Ramesh’s house near Mangamanapalya area. She was raped by the duo in Ramesh's house, reported BM.

“The victim who stays off Hosur main road came to city a year ago and was working in a private firm in Bommanahalli. She was staying with her friends where she met one of the accused, Deepak, and has been in touch with him for the last six months. Apparently Deepak had borrowed some money from her. However, as she is currently unemployed and running short of money, she wanted her money back from him,”said a police officer.

On Monday night she met the accused at Muneshwara circle in Mangamanapalya, from where she was taken to Ramesh’s house, reported BM.

“Since the house was nearby, the victim without suspecting anything, went to the house, where she was allegedly raped by Deepak first and then by his friend Ramesh. After the rape the victim is said to have lost consciousness and woke up in the wee hours of Tuesday around 4am and managed to escape when the accused were sleeping. She immediately approached the Bommanahalli police at around 7am and filed a complaint with the police,” the officer added.

DCP (South East) M B Boralingaiah said that a case of rape had been registered and both the accused have been arrested. Bommanahalli police is investigating the case.

The victim and the accused have been subjected to medical tests. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused duo was under the influence of alcohol and that there was another man named Ravi in the house where the rape happened.

“We are contemplating taking action against Ravi as he should have brought the matter to the police,” said the officer.
