The N Balakrishna starrer Paisa Vasool opened to packed houses; thanks to the star’s sheer crowd-pulling persona. However, the film failed to hold on to the screens with the trade witnessing a major slump in collections during the weekdays. Released on September 1, 2017, the film went on to collect Rs. 13.9 crores in Andhra and Telangana during the first four days while its worldwide collections stood at Rs. 16 crores. It has reportedly collected Rs. 25 crores in total so far.

Going by the reports, we hear that Paisa Vasool has turned out to be a box office dud for its run-of-the-mill storyline and stale screenplay. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film has nothing new to offer for the movie buffs but hardcore Balayya fans are just eager to watch him in action on the silver screen.

Paisa Vasool, an action entertainer, has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by V Anand Prasad under the banner Bhavya Creations. The star cast includes Shriya Saran as Balayya’s lead pair while Musskan Sethi, Kyra Dutt, Vikramjeet Virk, Kabir Bedi, Ali, Prudhviraj, Alok Jain, Temper Vamsi, Amit Kumar and Pavitra Lokesh play supporting roles.

There are some very important factors that draw the audiences to the theatres to watch this film and one of them happens to be the fact that Balakrishna has sung a song for the first time in his career. Anup Rubens has composed music for Paisa Vasool with Mukesh G wielding the camera and Junaid Siddique editing it.

According to trade sources, the area-wise breakup of collections (in Rs) for the first four days is as follows: Nizam - 3,34,00,000, Ceded - 3,50,00,000, Nellore - 65,00,000, Guntur - 2,01,00,000, Krishna - 1,02,00,000, West - 86,00,000, East - 1,10,00,000 and Uttharandhra - 1,42,00,000.
