Tollywood star N Balakrishna is on a roll with his latest release, the NTR biopic Kathanayakudu doing well at the box office. And here is another exciting piece of news for his fans out there. Reports are that Balayya may be playing a pivotal role in the Kannada movie Bhairathi Ranagal, which has Shiva Rajkumar in the lead. Incidentally, the film is the star’s 125th project and given the importance of it, the filmmakers are keen on roping in Balayya. Talks have been initiated and we will get a clear answer on Balayya’s inclusion to the star cast of Bhairathi Ranagal soon.
It may be noted that Shiva Rajkumar was seen shaking a leg with Balakrishna in his 100th film Gauthami Putra Satakarni a couple of years ago and the latter might just return the favour by agreeing to star in Shiva Rajkumar’s film.
Shiva Rajkumar’s role as Bhairathi Ranagal in Mufti will remain unforgettable in the minds of the movie buffs. The character was etched out perfectly and Shiva Rajkumar had lived the role instead of enacting it. And now, the film Bhairathi Ranagal will be a prequel to it.
The film will be directed by Mufti director Narthan. It will be the maiden production venture of the director under his banner Shri Muthu Cine Services.
Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar is busy with Kavacha and Rustum. Rustum is produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra under the banner Jayanna Combines. Shraddha Srinath has been roped in to play the female lead in it and Mayuri will be seen as Shiva Rajkumar’s sister. A romantic action entertainer, Rustum will mark the directorial debut of ace stunt master Ravi Varma. Kavacha, directed by GVR Vasu, is a remake of the Malayalam movie Oppam which had Mohanlal in the lead role.
