Indian blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning has been released in Germany and the Deutsch dubbed version is titled ‘Ich Bin Baahubali’.

The dubbing rights were acquired by distribution house Splendid Film for an exorbitant price and were distributed by leading German distributor Film Select.

After a grand theatrical run in India, US and several foreign countries, the Deutsch version was released on April 28 in over 30 screens across the country.

The film has failed to live up to the expectations of German audiences and has collected €4,166 i.e Rs. 3.17 lakh during the first weekend at the German box office, which is a huge disappointment.

After Bajirao Mastani, Baahubali also failed in Germany while the only recent Indian movie to perform well was 'The Lunchbox' which had set a record by collecting Rs 11.29 crore in the country.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda who struck a deal at Busan Asian Film Market also revealed his plans to release the movie in Latin America and European countries. They will also look to sign a pre-sales pact on the next installment Baahubali: The Conclusion.
