Maverick director SS Rajamouli and actors Rana Daggubati and Prabhas are all set to share the couch in the ongoing season 6 of Bollywood director Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee with Karan. According to a report in Mid-day, Karan, who presented the Hindi version of both movies in the Baahubali series, has invited the trio to the popular English chat show. This is the first time that stars from Tollywood will grace the show.
A source told Mid-day, “Given that they are the minds behind the biggest Indian film and have gained pan-India popularity, KJo wanted them to feature on the show. Prabhas, who is otherwise media-shy, agreed to make an appearance only as a mark of his respect for Karan.”
Reports say that the episode with the trio is yet to be shot and is expected to be filmed by the end of this month.
Prabhas and Karan Johar share a good rapport ever since the latter associated himself with the distribution of Baahubali. There were also reports that Prabhas would be making his debut in Bollywood with a film to be bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. While film buffs were waiting eagerly for more info about this project, there were also reports that Prabhas had declined the offer to star.
Reacting to the rumours, Prabhas told media that there was no truth in it. He also reportedly clarified about the rumours about the film with Karan Johar. Going by what Prabhas told the media, his Bollywood debut is very much on the cards and will be bankrolled by Karan Johar’s production house.
SS Rajamouli is currently busy with his multi-starrer RRR, which went on the floors recently. He is currently shooting portions involving the lead stars, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, while an announcement about the leading ladies will be made once the shooting of their portions begins.
