Asus has just released its latest laptop the Asus Vivobook S with all new specs and features. To begin with, the trend of minimizing the edges to offer maximum display has been carried forward from the mobile screens to the laptops and here you have a 15.6-inch display using what is known as Nano-Edge technology.

The screen to body aspect ratio has been maintained at 80% on this new Asus laptop. The dimensions of the laptop read 14.2x9.6x0.7 inches. From the design perspective, accommodating a 15.6-inch display on a 14.2-inch wide laptop and achieving a thickness of just 0.7 inches should be appreciated.

The Asus Vivobook S has at its heart a seventh generation Intel i5 7200 U CPU that clocks a speed of 2.5GHz; the Turbo mode can take this to 3.1GHz. The display itself is full HD, 1080x1920p resolution one with a wide 178° viewing angle. The laptop comes with 8GB RAM and a HDD storage limit of 1TB. The keyboard is backlit for use in dark environments.

A Li-Ion polymer battery powers the device and according to Asus, the battery can be given a recharge of up to 60% in a matter of less than 50 minutes.

There is a fingerprint sensor and host of connectivity ports, which include the USB 3.0 and 2.0 and HDMI. The dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi feature is capable of keeping you connected even through a poor connection.

The laptop comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded. The Asus laptop also comes with some very good audio capabilities and the listening experience is second to none.

Asus is right now selling the Vivobook S on its website for $699 in the US and it won’t be long before the Indian customers can make a purchase of the laptop.
