It is already known that Arun Vijay is playing an important role in the Prabhas starrer Saaho. Recently, the star revealed that he is done shooting for his portions for the movie. Posting pictures of a cake cutting ceremony held for him on the sets of Saaho on his last day, he tweeted, “Its a wrap for me!! #Saaho Happy to have been a part of this incredibly hard-working team. Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles.
The technical crew of the film includes Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy for composing music with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing. A trilingual, the film is being made in Telugu and will be released in Tamil and Hindi as well.
Two making of Saaho videos released online have gone viral among netizens. Shades of Saaho – Chapter 1, released on Prabhas’ birthday in October last year, was a 1.5 minute compilation of the team’s 30-day shoot in Abu Dhabi. The second instalment, a 1 minute teaser released on Shraddha’s birthday earlier this month, offered a sneak peek into how the sets were set up for the high-octane action flick.
Saaho is set for a grand release on August 15 this year. With this being the first film for Prabhas after the massive success of the Baahubali series, both movie buffs and critics are waiting eagerly for its release.
