Premalatha Divakar, who had lodged a complaint of rape against the Raghaveshwara Bharati, has lodged another complaint with the Bengaluru police, alleging that the seer is threatening her.

On September 19, Premalatha lodged a complaint with the Banashankari police, alleging that the seer of the Ramachandrapura Mutt Raghaveshwara Bharati had allegedly threatened her in a Facebook post, and that he had “instigated” his supporters to take action against her.

The artist has accused the seer of using his financial resources and his followers to threaten her. “During his pravachans (religious discourses) he is indulging in character assassination of my family and those who are supporting me,” she wrote in her complaint.

Premalatha added that she has been getting threatening calls from a person, who calls himself Kali Yogesh.  The artist has filed a complaint in Konaje, Mysuru and Shimogga regarding this.

The artist and her husband have complained to the CID and gone with them to several villages as part of investigation. However, even in such occasions the atmosphere of fear prevails.

The Banashankari police have forwarded the complaint to the CID, which is investigating the two rape complaints against the seer.
