In what has embarrassed the TRS in Telangana, party MLC Farooq Hussain was caught on camera abusing his lady landlord and attempting to attack her with his slipper.
In the video, recorded and released by the brother of the landlord Antul Wasay, Farooq is seen abusing the landlord in unparliamentary language. He raises his slipper to attack her, and then abuses her brother too.
When Antul says that he should have some shame for not vacating the flat despite several appeals, Farooq removes his chappal and tries to hit her and hurls abuses at her repeatedly.
Taken aback, she retorts that despite being in her own house he’s attacking her. When she says that she’s an NRI, who holds an American passport, and tells that she’d complain against him, he intimidates her by saying that he would send her to jail.
When her brother, who is recording the video, intervenes and says not to misbehave with a woman, he tries to attack him too. Hurling abuses at him he says, “So far I’ve given you respect and let you sit in my home.”
The entire incident was recorded and shared to media by Antul Wasay’s brother.

Wasay alleges that the TRS leader, who occupied the flat six years ago, has refused to vacate the flat despite repeated requests by Antul’s brother who stays in Hyderabad. To evict the arrogant tenant, Antul had to fly down from New York.
However, annoyed with her suggestion to vacate the flat, Farooq abused her. He said that he doesn’t fear anyone, when Antul told him he will approach the police and media.
Following this ugly confrontation, Antul filed a complaint with the Nampally police.
Nampally police say that they have booked a case against the MLC under sections 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
