Following the massive success of Dhoni: The Untold Story - the biopic on MS Dhoni, at the box office, cricket and movie buffs can soon get to see a biopic made on the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar.
Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman has composed music for this film and the first song from the album Hind Mere Jind was released on the cricketer’s birthday April 24, 2017. The song turned out to be an instant hit setting the expectation meter high up. Fans are excited that the maestro has lent his voice for the song and it has gone down well.
The biopic titled Sachin: A Billion Dreams will cover the highs and lows of the cricketer while also bringing out a considerable part of his personal life that is unknown to many. The film is directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner 200 Not Out Productions.
Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar plays himself in the film and the star cast also includes his wife Anjali Tendulkar and son Arjun Tendulkar. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virendra Shewag and others are also part of the film. The story of this film has been penned jointly, by James Erskine and Sivakumar Ananth.
The film is in the post-production stage and will be out in theatres on May 26, 2017. The promos are happening in full swing with Sachin taking part in them. It may be mentioned here that the title, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, was selected by the cricket legend himself through a public competition and the title was announced on Twitter.
With the song and teaser out already, fans just can’t wait for the film to hit the silver screens.
