The News Minute | October 3, 2014 | 5.05 pm IST Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhara Rao has said that all Andhra statues that are located on the Tank Bund road will be removed. The Chief Minister has said that all the statues will be removed and sent ‘respectfully’ to Andhra, reported Telugu Varadhi. The road has 33 statues of famous people of the united erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The CM also said that a statue of Konda Lakshman Bapuji, Father of Telangana, who had fought for Telangana and died in 2012, will be placed there. Critics say that the move will further create unnecessary animus between the two states. Some are also of the opinion that by doing this the CM is grabbing attention and trying to play sentiment-based politics.
