Another suicide in B’luru’s Cessna Business Park? Woman falls to death from 9th floor

In a similar incident, 27-year-old Geethanjali had fallen off the 10th floor of her office building last week.

Five days after a 27-year-old woman fell off the 10th floor of a building at Cessna Business Park, a similar incident has occurred yet again in the campus. On Monday, 34-year-old Valliamai V fell from the 9th floor of Aloft Hotel located in the Cessna Business Park around 11.15 am and died.

According to DCP Whitefield Abdul Ahad, Valliamai has not left behind a death note and the reason for her death remains unknown. “The woman fell off the building with her painting kit. We have contacted her husband and children and are gathering more information,” he said.

Valliamai is from Karaikudi, located in Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu. She had checked into the hotel on Sunday evening.

“She was a local artist and had carried her painting kit with her. We suspect that it is a suicide. She has not left a death note so we are still trying to find out why she took the extreme step,” DCP Abdul Ahad added.

The Marathahalli Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are verifying security measures at the Business Park. “We are also ensuring that the business park’s security is intact as this is the second incident in the park’s campus in less than a week,” he said.

According to the police, Valliamai, who stays in Chennai, had come to Bengaluru alone. Around 7 pm, passers-by saw her fall from the building, reported The Hindu.

In a similar incident on November 22, 27-year-old Geethanjali, a native of Goa, had fallen off the 10th floor of her office building – ADVA Optical Networking, located in Cessna Business Park. The Marathahalli Police are yet to determine why she took the extreme step of suicide, they suspect that her engagement to a man against her wish may have contributed to her fateful decision to end her life.
