It's well-known that Amala Paul has signed up to play the main lead in two Tamil films - Adho Andha Paravai Pola and Aadai. And now comes the news that her next, too, would see her in the lead. For the first time in her career, Amala will be seen playing the role of a forensic surgeon.

To be directed by Anoop Panicker and scripted by Abhilash Pillai, the film is touted to be a first-of-its-kind forensic investigative thriller.

Interestingly, according to sources, this film will be based on a real life investigative case handled by former Kerala Police surgeon Dr B Umadathan. Both the director and the writer have reportedly spent nearly 6 months researching for the story.

Most of the technicians, including the editor, art and action choreographers for the film are from Amala’s previous Tamil outing, Ratsasan

Jointly produced by AJ Films in association with White Screen Media, the shooting is scheduled to commence from March 2019 and the entire project will be filmed in Chennai and Coimbatore. More details on the project are awaited.

Amala, who was last seen playing the role of a teacher in director Ramkumar’s Ratsasan, has two exciting Tamil films and one Malayalam film in the making.

Directed by Ratna Kumar of Meyaadha Maan fame, Aadai’s first look poster created quite an expectation among fans as soon as it was released.

In Adho Andha Paravai Pola, directed by Vinoth, Amala plays an activist who gets lost in the jungle. Amala has been doing her own stunts for Adho Andha Paravai Pola, a travel adventure film. The actor had posted a picture on her Instagram, revealing an injury that she sustained when she was doing a stunt for the film.

The actor also has Malayalam film Aadujeevitham with Prithviraj in the making. It was earlier reported that director Blessy’s ambitious project, based on the novel 'Aadujeevitham', will hit the silver screens only in 2020.
