Right from the time Fidaa hit the marquee, producer Dil Raju had been talking about its box office collections.

While the producer has never been so outspoken about the box office collections of his films, Fidaa seems to have been an exception. However, this did not go down too well within the industry, as it was followed by allegations that the collections were fabricated to falsely promote the film.

In order to put an end to such speculations and negative publicity, ace producer Allu Aravind has reportedly advised Dil Raju to refrain from making such statements.

Fidaa, which has been directed by Shekhar Kammula, stars Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi playing the lead pair.

The film marked Sai Pallavi’s debut in the Telugu film industry. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film hit the marquee on July 21, 2017.

While the songs have been composed by Shakthi Kanth Karthick, the background score has been done by JB Vijay C. Kumar has cranked the camera for this flick with Marthand K. Venkatesh editing it.

Made on a budget of Rs. 16 crore, Fidaa is said to have collected about Rs. 57 crore at the end of its third week at the box office.

During his interview to the Hindustan Times, Varun Tej, who plays the lead role in the film, said, “It would be the climax scene. It breaks the tradition of how marriage is viewed in our society. It’s not a very contemporary issue and has been around for a long time but the way Sekhar dealt with it in his writing and even while filming the sequence made me fall in love with the story. That would be my ‘Fidaa’ moment in the film.”
