It is already known that stylish star Allu Arjun has announced a new project with director Sukumar. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is also concentrating on the Trivikram Srinivas directorial. The film’s shooting is in progress and Pooja Hegde has been signed up to play Allu Arjun’s lead pair in it. Allu Arjun will wrap Trivikram  Srinivas's film before taking Sukumar's film on to the shooting floors.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, the story of Sukumar's film will revolve around the Sandalwood mafia. Apparently, it will be a romantic action drama with a typical Sukumar styled screenplay. The director is planning to shoot the film in Seshachalam forests in Nellore and Chittoor districts, as the story is set there. The film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

It may be noted that Sukumar originally planned the film with Mahesh Babu but the star had wanted the complete script which was not ready at that time following which he moved to other projects. This prompted the director to look out for another hero and he eventually signed up Allu Arjun.

Sukumar's last film with Ram Charan Teja, Rangasthalam, which released last year went on to become a big hit. Allu Arjun’s last film release was Naa Peru Surya, which did not fare too well at the box office. The star took a break soon after its release and waited for several months before deciding on his next project.

With these two films on cards, recently there was a buzz in the industry that the star is reportedly in talks with director AR Murugadoss for a film which is to be made on a very big budget and it will be a trilingual. But  sources in the know say that the project is unlikely to happen, at least in the near future. The star has been in talks with a couple of filmmakers and has already given nods for a few movies which will keep him busy for the next two years.
