Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu, despite strong criticism from critics and multiplex audiences, is rocking at the box office, thanks to the star’s mass appeal. In cinemas worldwide, the film grossed a whopping Rs. 72 crore, making it the biggest opening in the career of Arjun and director Boyapati Sreenu. It’s also the third best opening for a Telugu film after Baahubali and Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu.

Trade pundits predict, at this rate, the film could easily make it to the Rs. 100 crore club in the following week and might even become the biggest hit in Arjun’s career.

Arjun’s previous best film at the box-office was Trivikram-directed Son of Satyamurty, which grossed approximately Rs. 92 crore. Buoyed by the success of his film, Arjun has expressed his interest to team up with director Boyapati again. However, it might only happen next year as both are busy with other commitments.

Arjun’s next film will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with director Linguswamy, followed by a film with director Vikram Kumar.
