Kajal Aggarwal, who took a short break from films due to health issues, is back with a bang. The actor, in an interview to the First Post, had said, “I thought I would just focus on my prior commitments this year, relax, and focus on my health. I was very ill during the making of Awe! I had to slow down. God forced me to take a break (laughs). I didn’t even know I had this autoimmune disease for a long time. I even ran a marathon without knowing what was happening to me. I lead a very healthy lifestyle, but when I started having inexplicable fever every evening, it really stressed me out for a while. But all’s well that ends well. I've recovered now.”

Her last release this year was MLA in which she was paired opposite N Kalyan Ram. She is currently busy with the Telugu flick Kavacham in which she shares the screen space with Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas. The hero plays a cop in this action thriller that has Kajal Agarwal and Mehreen Pirzada as his female leads.

The film is directed by newbie Sreenivas Mamilla and bankrolled by Naveen Chowdary Sontineni under the banner Vamsadhara Creations. Kavacham has the Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the baddie with the star cast also including Posani Krishna Murali, Ajay and Mukesh Rishi in pivotal roles. She also has the Hindi remake of Queen in Tamil called Paris Paris in her kitty which is in the post production mode.

On her future plans, she had said in the interview, “My main focus this year has been to choose interesting scripts, I want to broaden my horizon and expand my portfolio. You’ve to do commercial films too every now and then. I’m trying to balance it out with films like where my role is equally important. I’m enjoying this space a lot.”
