Appreciating the NDA Government on their achievements, Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy has asked the citizens to support Prime Minister Modi as “a lot of good things have happened” since he took charge. Speaking at the sixth annual lecture of the Competition Commission of India in New Delhi he said, "We have a PM who is enthusiastic and working hard. People, all parties, the Opposition should rally behind him. I think a lot of good things have happened but it's still early to say. Therefore, we must all be with the PM and support him and we continue to do things with the sense of efficiency, then I'm sure we will make some progress." For a stable environment, he suggested that taxation policies needed to be made transparent and retrospective taxes should not be levied, a report in DNA said. Stressing on the importance of a "corruption-free judiciary" for business, he said it must be updated with best practices from across the globe in legal matters. He also asked the bureaucrats to contemplate on their role in bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and the government.
