A student of Chenngannur Christian College in Alappuzha district committed suicide by jumping off the college building on Wednesday.
According to reports, Athira Krishnan, second year Botany student jumped off the building after cutting her arm. Though she was rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
Additional SI Shaji, who is in-charge of the investigation, told The News Minute that the body would be sent for post-mortem to Alappuzha Medical College.
He added that a case has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC.
