The shooting of the Ajith starrer Vivegam has finally come to an end! The team had been camping in various parts of Europe to complete the shooting as a major portion of the film was set there. With Vivegam due for release next month, the shooting has come to an end.

Akshara Haasan, who plays one of the female leads in the film, had tweeted, “Finally finished the hoot for #Vivegam. Thank you @directorsiva for letting me be part of this project. Thank you &ajith sir for being supportive. Feel I’ve grown with this project.” The actor congratulated the entire team and thanked for being patient throughout. She added that the Vivegam team was one of the most hardworking units she ever  worked with.

Directed by Siva, Vivegam has Ajith playing the lead role and Kajal Agarwal and Akshara as the heroines. Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi will be seen playing the antagonist along with Arav Chowdhury while Karunakaran is in charge of the comedy department. On getting to share the screen space with Ajith, Karunakaran had said that he is excited to bag the role and also went on to reveal that he will be called APS in the film. Reports are that the spy thriller will have some extraordinary stunt sequences, which would be a treat for the fans to watch.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes for this film and is reported to have come out with some potential chartbusters. Vetri has cranked the camera for Vivegam and Rubens will be editing the film.

Touted to hit the marquee on August 10, 2017, the filmmakers are planning to cash in on the long Independence Day weekend. The magnum opus is produced under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films with TG Thyagarajan presenting it and Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan being the producers.
