We’ve known for a while now that Aditi Rao Hydari can sing. In the run up to the release of Kaatru Veliyidai, for instance, the young actor went viral with her impromptu performances of the song ‘Saas’ from Jab Tak Hai Jaan and ‘Vaan Varuvaan’ from Kaatru Veliyidai on the sets of the reality show Super Singer Junior.

On World Music Day, though, we got a wonderful reminder of Aditi’s vocal grace, as she posted a video of herself singing the hauntingly melodious ‘Chupke Se’ from the Rani Mukherjee and Vivek Oberoi-starrer Saathiya. Incidentally, Saathiya is the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam's Alaipayuthey.

Although Kaatru Veliyidai was a flop, Aditi's performance as Dr Leela, a woman caught in an abusive relationship, was appreciated by many. The actor is also said to be interested in Mani Ratnam's next project.

Aditi, who is a trained Bharathanatyam dancer and singer, put up the video on her Facebook page with a simple comment that read, “Night Songs”, and also hashtagged AR Rahman on the post. She will reportedly be singing with AR Rahman at a Bollywood awards show in New York in July.

Incidentally, it seems, that Aditi will soon be singing with AR Rahman at a Bollywood awards show in New York in July. Rahman heard Aditi sing a few lines for Kaatru Veliyidai and told her to put her singing skills to use, reports Times of India.

Aditi had earlier made her Bollywood singing debut in the Ali Zaffar-starrer London Paris New York.
