The visuals of anchor turned actor Sivakarthikeyan being assaulted at the Madurai airport on Sunday morning has gone viral. The actor had flown to the airport to attend a promotional event at Thoothukudi along with Kamal and Hansika.
The video shows the actor coming out through the airport’s arrival gate and a small group of people heckling him.
Though it was not clear what they attacked the actor for, a report by Dinamalar said that the group of people who attacked the actor were fans of Kamal Haasan. The report adds that the group had reached the airport to welcome Kamal Haasan who had landed for the same event. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan in an interview to Puthiya Thalamurai TV has denied the alelgation.
There is speculation that Kamal fans were upset over a spoof Siva Karthikeyan had done on the actor in one of his movies.
