Long winding queues outside banks and ATMs has become a common sight across the country, following the withdrawal of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. But on Tuesday, those waiting at an ATM in Srinagar Colony of Banjara Hills in Hyderabad were in for a surprise. Telugu actor, director and producer Ravi Babu was not only standing in line, but was accompanied by a piglet.

Turns out, the actor was promoting his upcoming film “Adhugo”, which stars the piglet as the protagonist.

"Wherever I go these days, I take the piglet along. I can't leave him at home because there's nobody to take care. I had to withdraw cash from the bank, so I decided to take the piglet with me. Although people were a little surprised to see it, nobody made a fuss out of it," said Ravi Babu.

Since his last film “Avnu 2”, Babu has been reportedly working on the new script for a year.

The film is currently in its post-production stage. "I raised a few piglets in my friend's farm for the film. While most of the film was shot with live piglet, we did use animatronics to shoot some important sequences. It's the first time an Indian film has used a piglet," he said.

“Adhugo” is reported to be a commercial thriller. The film also features newcomers Naab and Abhishek in lead roles.
