Actor Ravindran, who was seen in movies like Vanakkam Chennai, will soon be debuting as a director. Speaking about his debut to the Deccan Chronicle, he was quoted as saying, “I was actually planning to make the movie sometime next year, but everything fell in place now. So, we have started the pre-production, and the film is at its nascent stage as of now.” According to reports, the film will have Sushanth in the lead role with a newbie playing the heroine.

The actor-turned-director further said that his intention was to direct movies right from the start but on getting opportunities to don the greasepaint he accidentally turned out be an actor. In this regard, he was quoted as saying, “I came to Chennai not to become an actor, but with a desire to join as an assistant to a director. But eventually, I got an offer to be the lead of a movie, and I got suggestions that acting will earn me more money and knowledge about filmmaking as well. So, I ended up being an actor.”

Rahul, busy with his first directorial, said that he will continue to act in movies but is unsure if he would star in his own directorial. More details about the venture including the title and star cast are expected to be out in a few days’ time.
