Prabhas has undoubtedly turned out to be one of the leading actors in India with his recently released Baahubali: the Conclusion being declared a box office hit.

If sources are anything to go by, the ‘Rebel star’ would be seen in a dual role in his highly-anticipated upcoming film Sahoo.

Recollecting Prabhas look in the Sahoo teaser, which was released at the time of his previous film, and the first look where he is seen hiding his face with a mask, reports suggested that he could be playing a dual role. However, official confirmation is awaited.

Directed by Sujeeth of Run Raja Run fame, Saaho is touted to be a sci-fi thriller. Starring Prabhas in the lead role and he will be seen acting with Shraddha Kapoor in the movie. Recently, the crew wrapped up the first schedule in Hyderabad, completing nearly 40% of the total shoot.

Earlier, the team planned to head to Dubai where a large chunk of the scenes with Prabhas were to be shot at the Burj Khalifa, but due to some unknown reasons, this Dubai schedule has got delayed and the entire shooting plan has changed.

Recently, the first look of the film was unveiled to coincide with the birthday celebration of Prabhas.

The star cast includes Neil Nitin Mukesh who plays the main villain in the film and along with Mahesh Manjrekar, Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi and Chunkey Pandey. International stuntman Kenny Bates, popular for his work on films such as Die Hard and Transformers, has been brought on board.

The film is made on a budget of Rs. 150 crore, bankrolled by Uppalapati Pramod and V Vamsi Krishna Reddy on UV Creations banner. The movie has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. While Sabu Cyril will take care of production design, Madhie will crank the camera. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

The film is slated to hit screens in 2018.
