Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Saturday conducted raids at five places including the residence of a Panchayati Raj executive engineer and found disproportionate assets worth Rs one crore so far.
"The raids were conducted on the direction of ACB Director General Malakondaiah, after a preliminary probe found that the accused, Durga Prasad, owned assets disproportionate with the source of his income," ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramachandra Rao said.
Prasad is an engineer with the Andhra Pradesh government.
The raids were conducted at five places including his residence in Rajamahendravaram, Rao said, adding raids are going at his kin's place in Visakhapatnam.
Five teams were formed for the purpose.
