The News Minute | November 19, 2014 | 2.20 pm IST A 15-year-old student from Kasaragod, Kerala was allegedly murdered by two of his classmates following an argument over a girl. The victim is identified as Abhilash, son of Suresh and Mini resides in Menappis, Hosdurg and he is a class X student of the government higher secondary school Hosdurg. His body was found in a pond within the premises of Kushalnagar polytechnic Institute on Saturday. There was a deep cut on his eyes and the cause of death was drowning in water. According to Police the students had some clashes between them over some issues at the class, especially over an affair with a girl in their class. “They had a dispute while they were returning home from school on Friday evening. One of the accused stabbed Abhilash with a compass in his eyes. As blood oozed out, they compelled him to wash it from the pond nearby. Once they reached the pond the other two held him under the water until he drowned to death” Biju Lal, Hosdurg Police Sub Inspector told The News Minute Though the accused students claimed the death as an accident later confessed that they killed Abhilash intentionally. “We came to know that two students accompanied him after the school hours. When we questioned them at first they denied their role in the murder. Later they confessed and said that they took revenge on him” Biju Lal added The police arrested the students on Wednesday morning.
