After months of contemplation, it has been finally decided that Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi will play the antagonist in Ajith's next yet-untitled project with director Siruthai Siva, and the film will mark his Tamil debut. Even though Vivek was originally slated to make his Kolkywood debut with Ajith's Mankatha, the plan didn't materialize and the offer eventually went to Arjun.
Rumour has it that Vivek might dub in his own voice for the film as he has Tamil roots. His mother Yashoda is said to be a Tamilian, and Vivek has said in a few interviews in the past that he knows the language and can even manage to break into a conversation whenever needed.
In Siva's film, Ajith will be seen as an Interpol agent, and a series of incidents force him to go on an international mission to track down a criminal. The project also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Akashara Haasan in important roles. Produced by Sathyajothi Films, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
