The low-budget con thriller Sathuranga Vettai took everybody by surprise when it released and rocked the box-office in 2014. Two years later, producer-actor Manobala has announced its sequel and it features Arvind Swami and Trisha in the titular roles.

Directed by Nirmal Kumar, who rose to fame with Vijay Antony of Salim fame, actor Sivakarthikeyan released the first look teaser on Friday via his twitter handle.

Arvind Swami who had a successful comeback in Kollywood's Thani Oruvan is playing the antagonist in the sequel and will take Trisha head on in a battle of wits.

Unlike the prequel which focused on multiple sub-plots, the sequel will be narrated in a linear fashion and will focus on just one story. Apparently, the story of Sathuranga Vettai 2 is set against the IT backdrop and will see Trisha and Arvind as the antagonists.

The film also stars Radha Ravi, Nassar, Ponvannan, Sriman and others in the supporting roles, while Ashwin Vinayagamurthy is scoring the music.
