RGV mocks Congress politician Hanumanth Rao for tearing down the posters of ‘Arjun Reddy’

RGV termed the politician’s actions as one that can only originate from “an extremely regressive and antediluvian neanderthal mind set”.

After his take on the Telugu Film Chamber irked many, controversy’s favourite child Ram Gopal Varma is back, this time for criticizing Congress senior leader V Hanumanth Rao, who recently pulled down the posters of Telugu film ‘Arjun Reddy’, complaining of adult content.

‘Arjun Reddy’, which is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars Vijay Devarakonda (of Pellichuplu fame) and Shalini Pandey, is the story is set against the backdrop of a medical student’s life.

As part of the promotion, the makers have released posters which depicts Shalini and Vijay kissing. These posters are on several city buses as well. However, the movie got more eyeballs when V Hanumanth Rao tore down the poster in Hyderabad, which he thought was obscene.

RGV took on the politician on Facebook, terming his actions as one of "regressive and antediluvian Neanderthal mind set".

While mocking the senior politician for having a "prehistoric" mindset, he suggested that Vijay tear off the clothes of the politician, and also said that children will get scared if they see him like that.

Asking the politician if he was jealous of Vijay being kissed by a beautiful girl like Shalini, he said "was it because HR [Hanumanth Rao] himself would have never been kissed? Just asking."

In another post, he informed this movie is for "manavallu"(grandsons) and "Manavarallu" (granddaughters), and not for Tatayyalu (grandfathers) like Hanmanth Rao.

He also hit out at Congress party, saying "as your party became Thatayya, now because of your childish things, all people Manavalu and Manavarallu won't vote next and then because of you, your party will become double Thathayya"

Continuing his tirade, he suggested that Hanumanth Rao get help translating his piece of advice, which was that "his mentality of tearing up Arjun Reddy poster can only originate from an extremely regressive and antediluvian Neanderthal mind set which even the archaic primates would find both medieval and obsolescent."

While there are people supporting Ram Gopal Verma, many are unhappy about his choice of words.
