The magnum opus, Baahubali – the Beginning was released two years ago and the sequel, Baahubali – the Conclusion is all set for a release on April 28.

The film is being promoted by the team throughout India, so that it gets a wider reach than the prequel.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tammannah, Sathyaraj and others, the film boasts of a huge star cast.

However, not many know that the film’s director SS Rajamouli had made a cameo appearance in Baahubali – Beginning.

He appears as a bartender who serves Madira to Baahubali. The actor can be seen asking for the alcohol which Rajamouli serves in a small pot, which Prabhas keeps flinging until he makes it clear that he wants the largest pot of all.

This is an interesting scene that not many would have missed but very few are aware that it was the director himself who was playing a role in the film.

It is popular among Hollywood directors right from Alfred Hitchcock, to play small roles in their own films.

Even in Kollywood, several directors have done it in the past including Bharathiraja, and KS Ravi Kumar.

With Baahubali 2 getting ready for release, watch out if there is another cameo by Rajamouli in the film, for there will not be an official word on it from the filmmakers.

Baahubali, made on a humongous budget, will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously.

The film has been made concurrently in Tamil and Telugu while the dubbed versions will be released in Malayalam and Hindi.

To be released in the high definition 4K format, Baahubali – the Conclusion will be the first Indian film to be released in that format.

MM Keeravani has composed music for this venture with KK Senthil Kumar cranking the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it.
