Nanditha Shwetha may have made her acting debut in Sandalwood with Nanda Loves Nanditha, but it is in the Tamil film industry that the actress has tasted continued success. Recently, she found Tollywood audiences appreciating her as well, with her first Telugu film doing well.

Even as she celebrates these successes, however, Nanditha is eager to return to Sandalwood.

The actor recently told Deccan Chronicle, “I want to make a comeback in Kannada too with a bigger venture. It is very important in both Kannada and Telugu industry to work with established filmmakers and actors when making a comeback. I feel proud when audiences from Karnataka still recognise me and appreciate my good works in other languages and want to know when I will return.”

Nanditha also told DC that after she took her first plunge into acting, she took her time learning the art rather than rushing into more films. After making her debut in Kannada, it took the actor about four years for the next release, which was the Tamil blockbuster Attakathi.

Since then, Nanditha has starred in a number of critically acclaimed films such as Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Edhir Neechal and Mundaasupatti. Her debut flick in Tollywood Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada turned out to be a smash hit as well. The actor now has a handful of projects in Tamil including Vanangamudi, Nenjam Marappathillai, and Kaathiruppor Pattiyal.

Nanditha is also waiting eagerly for the release of Idam Porul Yaeval, which has been directed by the award-winning director Seenu Ramasamy. The film’s shooting was completed some time ago, but the release of the film has been postponed for various reasons.

With a slew of films in Tamil, Nanditha hopes to sign a few films in Kannada, particularly with Puneeth Rajkumar and Yash.
