Focussed on strengthening the IT sector in the state, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan will get a core team of professionals that will be called Chief Minister's Fellow as per a report by VR Pratap in Manorama.

The team may consist of five or six members, which has not been decided as yet. It will assist the CM in bringing in more investments to the IT sector and in overall development of the sector.

The decision has reportedly been taken by a high-powered IT committee.

People who studied management from prominent institutions in India or abroad will be considered for appointment. Those who have completed Masters in Management from business schools can apply.

The applicants must be below 40 years of age and should have at least two years of work experience in public or private companies.

The candidates should have command over English and Malayalam and the age limit to apply is 40.

A high-powered committee, consisting of the director of IIM Kozhikode will shortlist 30 people from the list of applicants and the list will be further pruned to six.

Their posting will be for two years and their pay package will be aligned with that of corporate companies.

After the two-year term, people who excel at work will be retained in the CM's office and they will be appointed to either public enterprises or the government's mission schemes.
