The HTC One X10 is the latest in the mid-segment smartphone following the X9, the last version. The specifications and the features on this device do appear quite impressive and with HTC’s reputation riding with it, the X10 may find enough takers to make a mark.

Display and performance

This is a 5.5-inch full HD display phone with a LCD touchscreen and a resolution of 1080x1920. The density is also quite decent at 401ppi. The protection to the phone’s screen is provided by a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla glass.

The HTC One X10 can be considered slightly heavy at 175gms but perhaps, the 4000 mAh battery and the 8.2mm thickness explains the weight. The Octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor measured at 2.2 GHz may not sound that powerful, but the 3GB RAM may help balance it out. The user experience will not be hampered by this. The phone comes with an internal storage of 32GB but the microSD slot can facilitate the storage to be taken to a mind-boggling 2TB!

The OS is the Android M (6.0) and the battery, as mentioned is 4000mAh which is pretty impressive.

Camera

The Camera on the HTC One X10 is a 16 MP Auto Focus one with LED flash and also video recording features. There are also other features like digital zoom, touch focus and panorama mode. The front selfie camera is of 8MP.

The phone also has a fingerprint sensor and is capable of 4G compatibility, but the dust and water resistance certification that many latest smartphones seem to be launched with these days is not present on the HTC One X10.

The expected price of this HTC mid-segment phone is Rs 23, 000.
