Close on the heels of teleserial actor Pratyusha Banerjee’s death, actor Priyanka Chopra’s former manager has claimed that the Quantico star had attempted suicide.

Prakash Jaju, Chopra’s former manager took to Twitter on Saturday to claim that the actor had attempted to kill herself and that he had saved her.

He said he made these details public to create awareness among parents whose daughters aspired to enter the film industry.

He said that though Priyanka looked strong on the outside, she had faced difficult times with her ex-boyfriend Aseem Merchant, with whom she would have fights and drive to his house late in the night.

Aseem and Priyanka reportedly dated each other during her modelling days.

Prakash also tweeted about Chopra’s relationship with Aseem’s mother and claimed that after the latter’s death in 2002, Priyanka developed suicidal tendencies. He claimed to have saved her and kept her tied to a chair until grills were installed in all the windows in her apartment.

This is not the first time Prakash has taken to Twitter to talk about Priyanka. In 2015, Aseem Merchant and Prakash planned to make a biopic entitled "67 Days," which chronicles the story of Priyanka's business manager and ex-secretary Prakash Jaju with the beauty queen and her late father. However, the film was shelved after the Chopra sent them a legal notice.
