The first look of actor Dhanush’s maiden Malayalam production, Tharangam: The Curious Case of Kallan Pavithran, has been released. Tovino Thomas plays a policeman in the movie which is being directed by Dominic Arun, a debutante. Neha Iyer has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie. Other actors in the star cast are Balu Varghese, Dileesh Pothen, Manoj K Jayan, Achuthanandan and Vijayaraghavan.

The National Award winning actor Dhanush is well known for his penchant in choosing the right scripts for his production ventures. Having a good success rate as far as his productions are concerned, Dhanush has forayed into the Malayalam film industry with Tharangam, which is touted to be a comedy flick.

Going by the first look, it can be gauged that Tovino Thomas will be essaying the role of Sub-Inspector Padmanabhan Pillai and Balu Varghese will be seen as Joy C. Aswin Renju has been signed up to compose tunes for Tharangam and Manu Manjith will be penning the lyrics. Sreenath S will be taking charge at the editing table. The shooting of this film is currently underway. 

Tovino Thomas’ rise to stardom in the Malayalam film industry has been good with the actor bagging prestigious projects. His last outing, Godha, turned out to be a success at the box office and the actor is looking forward to a slew of films hitting the silver screens in the next couple of years.

While Tovino was in the news recently for bagging his first Tamil film, which is to be directed by BR Vijayalakshmi, he also has Malayalam films like Mayandi, Tick Tock and Oru Bhayangara Kamukan in his kitty. The actor will also be making his debut in Portuguese and Italian with the film Hano 3D.
