Prabhas has undoubtedly turned out to be one of the leading actors in India with the stupendous success of the recently released Baahubali: The Conclusion. The film has grossed over Rs. 1500 crores and is a hit in all the languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam – it was released.
Following the immense success of this historical film, Prabhas went on to sign another big budget film titled as Sahoo. To be directed by Sujit, it is being bankrolled by UV Creations. The action entertainer will reportedly go on the floors next month.
Even before the regular shooting is to begin, the film’s business has become the talk of the town. According to reports doing the rounds, Eros International is reportedly in talks with the makers of Sahoo for its all-India theatrical rights. To be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Eros is reportedly in talks for the theatrical rights of all the languages as well. It is said that the production and distribution house is offering a Rs. 400 crore deal for the project even before it goes on the floors. Well, that has certainly created a lot of buzz around the project.
It may be recalled that the trailer of Sahoo was released along with Baahubali: The Conclusion on April 28 and was well received by the film buffs. Getting the wide coverage that is required, the expectations from this big budget movie have soared According to reports, the film will be made on a budget of Rs. 150 crores. The director is yet to finalise the heroine for the project and is reportedly in talks with some leading ladies in Bollywood. However, no one has signed on the dotted line yet, say sources.
