In an explosive allegation, solar scam accused Saritha Nair claimed on Asianet TV on Sunday that Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had sexually abused her in the past at his residence in Cliff House.

In the letter put out by Asianet News, purportedly written by her on March 19, 2013, Saritha claims that she was sexually abused by a former union minister too, and that they allegedly bribed the CM.

Documents with The News Minute now however show that while deposing before the commission of enquiry into the solar scam in January 2016, and in response to a question by co-accused Biju Radhakrishnan, she had said that there was no attempt to sexually abuse her by Chandy.

When Biju Radhakrishnan asked her, “During many business meetings in Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram, did Oommen Chandy not try to outrage your modesty, and did you not walk out in anger?”, Saritha said, “No, that is not true.”

These documents of the deposition before the commission have been put out by sources close to CM Chandy following the Asianet news-break.

Following the latest round of allegations on Asianet, the CM’s office has vehemently denied these allegations. A member of the Chief Minister's office asked in response to the allegations, “Can't any one draft a letter and put any date?”

In the light of these facts, questions are being raised over the veracity of the new claims made by Saritha Nair.
