Congress paying the price for its adjustment politics: MLA VT Balram criticises his own party

CPI(M)’s gift to Congress for compromising on T P Chandrasekaran’s murder case, says V T Balram

Hitting out at its leadership, Thritala Congress MLA V T Balram has said that Kerala government’s decision to file case against Congress leaders was a gift from the CPI(M) for compromising on T P Chandraseekaran’s political murder.

T P Chandrashekaran an RMP leader was murdered in 2012 by CPI(M) cadres, but inspite of the allegations that top CPI(M) leaders were part of the conspiracy none of them were booked. There have been many accusations that the then UDF government had compromised with the CPI(M) and not booked cases against CPI(M) leaders.

“Congress leaders should consider the decision (to file cases in the solar scam) as a reward for not pursuing the conspiracy behind TP murder case and instead striking a compromise in between. At least now end this adjustment politics and Congress leaders should raise their voices against notorious minsters like Thomas Chandy.

On Wednesday the Kerala cabin decided that to file vigilance cases against many top leaders including Oommen Chandy in the Solar case. The cabinet has also decided to file sexual assault case against the top Congress leaders including Oommen Chandy.

In his post, V T Balram has also criticized the witch-hunt by the CPI(M) and CM Vijayan. The MLA also questioned the authenticity of the Solar Commission report on the basis of which the case was filed.

Meanwhile K K Rema, wife of T P Chandrasekaran has demanded that  V T Balram should make the details of the political compromise public.
