Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has told Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav to furnish all documents related to the alleged land grab.

Jadhav met Siddaramaiah at the latter’s official residence on Tuesday afternoon, TV9 Kannada reported. During the meeting, Siddaramaiah is said to have told Arvind Jadhav to furnish all documents pertaining to the land in question.

Arvind Jadhav has been accused of manipulating land records to show his mother as the owner of about 75 acres in Ramanayakanahalli village (Bangalore Urban district) on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

TV9 Kannada reported that Siddaramaiah was unhappy with this turn of events, and was not mollified even when Jadhav said he would cooperate with any investigation.

Allegations

Revenue officials are said to have granted Jadhav’s mother Tarabai a separate khata for a plot of land in the village, even though it was government land. This is said to have occurred in 2007, according to a Public TV report.

Tarabai reportedly has two cases against her, one a criminal case over cheque bounce when she wanted to sell the plot and the other in a civil court pertaining to the land.
