There is a new Tinder in town, but strictly for casual relationships. According to a report on Mashable, CasualX, an app only for people looking for encounters with no strings attached has launched today for iOS and will be soon available for Android.

Founder and CEO Michelle Lin said in a statement that Tinder users looking for casual encounters are often confused when matched with people looking for serious relationships. Hence was founded CasualX which calls its self ‘Tinder Minus Marriage-Minded Daters’.

Li told Mashable that what makes the app stand out from the crowd is the feature called ‘moments’. Like a social media feed, it lets you to upload photos and thoughts and share them with the other users. And you can see them when you look at anyone's profile.

To avoid scamming and fake profiles, every profile will be manually reviewed by CasualX’s team.  It also has features to protect the user’s identity like having private albums and a pattern lock you’ll have to use every time you open the app.

The app seems to have hit it off very well with users. In beta testing the app amassed more than 50,000 users and is generating at least 1,000 matches a day. Mashable says that even though there are plenty of other apps that facilitate quick and easy encounters, there’s clearly a demand for something dedicated to purely casual connection, and isn't Craigslist.
