The magnum opus, Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set to release on April 28. A major roadblock to its release in Karnataka has been removed with Sathyaraj, who plays Katappa in the movie, regretting his comments about Kannadigas during the Cauvery issue several years ago. Some pro-Kannada groups had demanded an apology from the star and had threatened to disrupt the release of the movie in the state.

On the other hand, the filmmakers are delighted with the news that the Andhra government has agreed to allow six shows for the film during the first 10 days of its release. The shows would begin as early as 7am, state sources. With a massive release plan in place for the film worldwide, trade sources estimate that the film would rake in Rs. 1000 crores within a couple of days of its release. The other Telugu speaking state Telangana is likely to follow suit and grant the six-show schedule.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars Prabhas as Baahubali with Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Anushka, Tammannah, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and several others in the cast. MM Keeravani has composed music for this film which has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 250 crores. KK Senthil Kumar has cranked the camera with Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing the film. Bankrolled by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works, Baahubali 2 will be released in Tamil and Telugu along with its dubbed versions in Hindi and Malayalam.

The film’s prequel, Baahubali: The Beginning, was a smash hit but according to the filmmakers, it wasn’t a profitable venture as the money was pumped into the sequel. Baahubali: The Conclusion is expected to give the filmmakers the much-needed profits.
