The posters of the Rajinikanth starrer 2.O that was released recently went viral as expected. Fans got a sneak peek into what Rajinikanth and Askshay Kumar would look like in this magnum opus. But we hear that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Reportedly, Rajinikanth will be seen in five different roles and Akshay Kumar in 12! Yes, Rajinikanth will be seen as a scientist, baddie, robot, and two dwarves, according to reports. While Akshay surprised the movie buffs with the ‘crow’ look in the posters, he will be seen in twelve different avatars, point out sources. Incidentally, he plays the baddie in the film.
Directed by Shankar, 2.O, is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions’ Subashkaran. The film’s shooting is currently on and it is expected to grace the theatres on Diwali this year.
Made on a budget of about Rs. 400 crore, the film’s satellite rights have been sold for Rs. 110 crore even while the film is in the shooting stages. The film also has Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Riyaz Khan in important roles. AR Rahman is composing music for 2.O with Nirav Shah handling the camera and Anthony editing it.
